The aim of this course is to introduce students
with the basic psychological features of health and illness.
General outcomes:
- Applying the
independent learning through critical and self-critical questioning of
scientific facts.
- Remembering the
possession of personal qualities such as teamwork and personal
contribution to it, attentiveness, active listening and building of positive
relationships within group.
Specific outcomes:
- Remembering the basis
of medical psychology
- Understanding the
personality and its structure
- Understanding the
defense and mental mechanisms
- Understanding the
relationship between individual and environment, doctor-patient and
patient-doctor relationships
- Understanding the
patients’ reactions to illness, stress-coping strategies and processes
that occur during teamwork
Outcomes will be evaluated with continuous
assessment, active forms of learning during lectures and seminars, and in final
exam.
