
Learning outcomes
Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:

Understand and use basic Croatian vocabulary and phrases related to everyday situations, such as greetings, ordering food, asking for directions, and introducing oneself.

Apply fundamental grammatical structures, including noun declension, verb conjugation, and the use of adjectives and prepositions, in simple written and spoken contexts.

Demonstrate improved listening and speaking skills through participation in basic conversations, comprehension of short texts, and the ability to respond appropriately in various social settings.

Read and understand short, simple texts related to Croatian culture, customs, and daily life, as well as identify key details and information.

Write short texts (e.g. emails, descriptions, and personal messages) using correct grammar, punctuation, and spelling.

Recognize and appreciate Croatian cultural practices, traditions, and values, contributing to a deeper understanding of the language within its cultural context.
These learning outcomes are designed to equip students with the necessary skills to navigate everyday communication in Croatian and to lay the foundation for further language development.
